All octi Suite products are licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later (GPL-3.0-or-later).

octi Suite products are commercial software distributed under an open-source license.

What you CAN do:

• Use octi Suite on unlimited websites
• Modify the code for your own purposes
• Redistribute modified versions (under GPL-3.0)
• Sell your modified versions (under GPL-3.0)

What the GPL does NOT mean:

• Free access for everyone: Only those who legally obtain the software (e.g., through purchase) receive it
• No copyright transfer: Copyright remains with octi design
• No warranty: The software is provided "as is" without warranty

Basic Version

• Entry-level feature set
• GPL-3.0-or-later licensed
• Community support
• Upgrade path to higher editions

Pro Version

• Advanced features and workflows
• GPL-3.0-or-later licensed
• Priority support and automatic updates
• May include product-specific limits depending on the edition
• Requires a valid license key

Agency Version

• All Professional features included
• Designed for agencies and professional environments
• GPL-3.0-or-later licensed
• Priority support and automatic updates
• Typically includes higher or unlimited product-specific limits
• Requires a valid license key

Many successful commercial Joomla extensions use GPL licensing:

• JCE Editor Pro – Commercial WYSIWYG editor under GPL
• RSForm Pro – Paid form builder under GPL
• SP Page Builder Pro – Commercia page builder under GPL

Key Point: GPL allows commercial software. Customers receive the freedoms granted by the GPL, while software vendors may still charge for distribution, support, updates, and related services.

If you receive an octi Suite product through legal means (purchase, download, authorized distribution, etc.), you have the right to:

1. View and study the source code
2. Modify it for your needs
3. Distribute your modifications under GPL-3.0

However, you do not have the right to:

• Access commercial update services without a valid license where applicable
• Redistribute the original or modified software without complying with GPL-3.0 terms
• Remove copyright notices or licensing information

• Basic Edition: Community support
• Professional Edition: Priority support and automatic updates (requires a valid license)
• Agency Edition: Priority support and automatic updates (requires a valid license)
