OD Suite Hub
Central management for your entire extension ecosystem – extension discovery, health monitoring, and a multi-language frontend testing portal for Joomla 6.
OD Suite Hub helps developers, agencies, and teams manage extension ecosystems from a single location. It automatically discovers supported extensions, monitors their status, and provides tools for administration, testing, and maintenance.

Installation

Step 1: Download the Package
Download the latest installation package from your octi Suite account or purchase confirmation.

Step 2: Install via Joomla
Navigate to System → Extensions → Install in your Joomla backend and upload the package file.

Step 3: Access the Component
After successful installation, go to My Suite. By default, installed OD extensions are discovered and displayed automatically. Additional extension ecosystems can be configured through the component settings.

Quick Start Guide

Visit the OD Suite Hub dashboard immediately after installation. By default, discovered extensions appear as extension cards with health status indicators. Additional extension ecosystems can be configured through the component settings.

Most features work immediately after installation without additional configuration. By default, OD extensions are discovered automatically, while additional extension ecosystems can be added through configurable discovery settings.

The main dashboard provides a complete overview of all discovered extensions, including status, health information, and available actions.

Extension Cards

Each discovered extension appears as a card showing:

  • Name, version, and extension type
  • Current status (enabled/disabled)
  • Color-coded health indicator
  • Quick action buttons: Enable/Diable, Configure, and Open Dashboard

System Health Indicators

Color

Meaning

🟢 Green

Healthy – extension active and operating normally

🟡 Yellow

Warning – extension active but with non-critical issues

🔴 Red

Error – extension disabled or critical issue detected

⚪ Grey

Unknown – status could not be determined

System Overview Bar

Displays the total number of discovered extensions, active vs. disabled breakdown, and Joomla & PHP version at a glance.

Enable/Disable Actions

Enable or disable supported extensions directly from the dashboard. Changes are applied immediately without leaving the page.
OD Suite Hub automatically discovers supported extensions and keeps its internal registry up to date as extensions are added, updated, or removed. Discovery settings can be customized to support vendor-specific extension ecosystems, agency projects, or custom extension suites.

How Extensions Are Detected

  • Prefix matching: configurable extension prefixes (default: OD)
  • Author metadata: configurable author filters
  • Source: Joomla's built-in extension registry

This flexible discovery system allows OD Suite Hub to manage not only octi Suite products, but also third-party extension ecosystems and custom extension collections.

Registry

Discovered extensions are stored in an internal registry table. The registry is updated automatically as supported extensions are installed, detected, updated, or removed, ensuring an accurate overview of your extension ecosystem.
OD Suite Hub creates a dedicated administration section within Joomla, helping keep discovered extensions organized and easy to access.

What It Does

  • Adds a "My Suite" group to the Joomla admin sidebar by default
  • Groups detected extensions under a centralized navigation area
  • Reduces menu clutter by organizing extensions in a single location

Technical Details

  • Handled by the bundled plg_system_odsh_menugroup plugin
  • In-memory injection only – no database changes made
  • Graceful fallback: if OD Suite Hub is disabled, the standard Joomla menu structure remains unchanged
  • Requires standard Joomla extension management permissions

The testing portal is an internal productivity tool for developers, testers, and agencies to systematically test frontend views across all supported extensions and configured site languages.

Automatic View Discovery

The portal scans extensions within the configured ecosystem and automatically detects:

  • List views (e.g., entry list, license list)
  • Item views (e.g., entry detail, license detail)
  • Form views (e.g., submit entry)
  • Module render views

Technical Details

For item views, available IDs are extracted automatically where supported.

Multi-Language Link Generation

For each detected frontend view, links are generated for all configured site languages and displayed with language indicators.
